Just watched the first episode of this American version of HIGNFY on iPlayer. Half of what they were talking about went completely over my head, and they're total strangers to subtlety, but I enjoyed it and will keep watching. It made me laugh quite a lot, and I think the UK version occasionally forgets it's supposed to be comedy and can get a bit too politically serious.
Episode 2 (of 10) is on BBC2 at 00.05 on Wed 25 September (i.e. late Tuesday night), and is not shown in e.g. the latest printed Radio Times. Is this is just a temporary thing in the lead up to the US presidential election, or will it continue afterwards? - don't know.

Given what's been going on over there, they have more enough material!

I watched the first episode and thought some of was quite funny but a lot of it was about people I’d never heard of so I was completely lost, don’t know if I’ll watch anymore. If it wasn’t for Trump I doubt I would have laughed at all.

I watched the 3 episodes so far and I think it's got worse. I don't think I found anything funny in the latest one. It's still largely incomprehensible, being mostly about people or events I've no knowledge of, though I suppose i can't blame the show for that. The humour however seems to have taken a dive after episode 1, becoming just loud and brash.
