some people on a site about trains have left photo bucket a long time ago because of it unreliability , one of the sites they use is Smug mug now, there are others |

Not a missing Avatar, but was trying to acquire a festive one, but when I tried to link, got a message saying Link not valid, and seem to have lost the one I had. Already have a headache today, so will try again in a week or so! Also have just noticed I've lost most of the non-personal smileys. Don't know if it's connected. Where is my 11 year-old?

Sometimes the link can have the http in it twice. Send it me and I will put it on for you. Copy the link into a PM.
Don't know about the smilies. Have you changed anything in your profile recently?
ETA: I just had a look and is it possible you may have clicked Disable Smilies by accident?

I will repeat, the easiest way to get an avatar on.
See the one you want,upload it to your device and save in images.
Then download it to here,then there is no messing with links etc.

To clarify, anyone now using a link from photobucket may find it disappear, they seem to be upgrading to a pay site as opposed to free to use.
It will probably, pretty soon disappear completely, very slow and cranky to use anyway and there are better options out there.
