I wonder what they actually do in Albert Square on a Sunday? I mean, nobody ever seems to watch TV...

They do occasionally manage to slip in these subversive little zingers and you think, "Yes, there is some talent in the writing pool, struggling to rise to the surface!"
Hmm. Kush and Denise? There's something I hadn't considered before.

And the football as well so either they had various scenarios and filmed multiple versions (joking) or they filmed that today. Likewise a topical insert alert for The Archers with Brexiteer Adam hoping it would all be OK without EU subs and Phoebe and her mates drowning their sorrows (being young).
Anyhoo.... A few questions.
Why do the Cokers just put up with Babe still. Pam has been within reach of saucepan on two nights now so could have clocked her one. And of course, you are being blackmailed, you have no money to pay, your nerves are shredded, the deadline is 5.00 so what do you do? Put £500 on the 2.30 at Kempton.
How come Buster has suddenly become a sex god and will he remain one once Max is back?
What has happened with the Andy saga? Is that over now or his still nursing his anger. And why exactly is he so angry? I forget all these old stories.

I reckon they filmed it today.
I don't understand the blackmail story from any angle. On the various forums we've discussed how the Cokers could have bluffed this out. But why is Babe intent on not just blackmailing them, but utterly destroying them? Because she can? Stupid motivation for a drama.
Can one small Square support two bald sex gods - three, if you count Phil? As for why, maybe the fishy smell is an aphrodisiac?
Presumably, Andy blames Ronnie for Danielle's death (she got run over by a car driven by Janine). We don't yet know why he's angry, but I assume it's to do with his dad. And it won't be over yet. We haven't had enough angst-ridden scenes.
Ooh, and Kush + Denise. Remember, you heard it here first.

I am predicting that Les will stagger into The Vic in his frock and denounce Babe for blackmail. This will lead to him being offered a part in Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and he and Birdie will live happily ever after. Babe, on the other hand, will be fed into a barrel of beer to be marinaded, and will never be seen again.

Roxy.... So what was wrong between Phil and his Dad then? I mean I know he was a violent drunk!!!!! So asked and answered then Roxy. Did anyone else remember Jack had a son with Sam? Completely forgotten by me. I much preferred NuSam to this one, although if you are playing her as particularly nasty I guess this is better casting as NuSam was quite a nice girl wasn't she? Hopefully the partial sighting of Les in a dress will put an end to the blackmailing SL which should never have run as it did. The police could have done a bit of CSI Cyber and tracked Babe's activities with no problem whatsoever as we have said many times.

NuSam was a good enough actress that she could convey a range of emotions. OldSam just radiates spite in every scene. And I had also forgotten baby Richard. If I remember to care, I'll wiki the details.
I presume Peggy's funeral will dominate at least two episodes next week. Fingers crossed Billy will come through, because I'm very tired of the 'Billy messes up everything, har! har!' trope.

Yes and if we are to have a good old laugh at Billy, I would prefer it not to be against the backdrop of a funeral. It was bad enough when Paul had sex under that coffin with the corpse lying there. I think we were supposed to find that funny but I found the disrespect to a dead body appalling!
Yes you are right, OldSam was spiteful throughout the episode wasn't she? I wonder if she is hoping to dump her son on Jack? She doesn't seem very fond of him. Has Jack got many more offspring about the place?

I have absolutely no recollection of Sam having had a son, let alone with Jack.

The Cokers and Babe storyline has really annoyed me. The Cokers are perfectly entitled to go to the police with this blackmail malarkey, yet Birdie won't allow it for fear of what others will think.
The Police will surely be bound by the data protection act and would not reveal the victims of the scam should it be reported - wouldn't they? I can see that people would be scared - and Babe is scary, but surely they would be legally protected somehow. Even in court!
