There is mention online of when Martin was the only person in Walford who thought Theo was a nonce, and he was vilified for it. You would think he might have remembered that and at least listened to Bianca, privately where she could just talk calmly to him rather than screaming in the Vic. That’s what I would have done.

Still smirking at the invitation from bent copper Jack to "the last person to see the missing girlfriend" of older Mitchell lad, to come and chat - in the Queen Vic. Where her chances of running into Teddy and his boys has to be incredibly high. If you want to meet a worried witness, you would choose a Mitchell free venue. Nicola reminds me of Liverpudlian actress Margi Clark.  |

Johnny said Drew Peacock was sophisticated! And he knew SOME drag queens who were as rough as cheesegraters! Well… He should have booked Felix who actually lives on the Square. We haven’t seen much of him, he doesn’t seem very popular with TPTB.

Well I thought Drew Peacock was flipping rude to Elaine.
And I also went off Martin. I mean he and the Slaters were vile to Ruby, not that she is particularly nice but they were just dreadful to her. And Martin may think he is Dad of the year but if Lily is anything to go by he isn’t that wonderful is he?
I was annoyed tonight!

I think the writers do not bother to check previous storylines before dreaming up new plots.
Are we heading for transplant time? If the child IS Martin's then he could donate part of his liver.
The exchange between Elaine and Drew was barbed but then I suppose the history was complex. I did think Drew made some good points about how hidden, shameful etc same sex relationships were in the not too distant past - and of course the Aids epidemic caused fear and dread.
John used them both - staying with Elaine for appearances sake and abandoning Drew for the same reason.

Yes, I can understand and sympathise with Drew’s situation, but it was hardly Elaine’s fault was it? She didn’t set out societal rules and John made his own decisions. Easy to blame the woman in this situation, I guess.
Liver transplants are quite easy aren’t they? Relatively speaking. In fact haven’t they already done one? I can remember a row because someone was asked to donate a sliver of his liver to save a child, and the family were absolutely appalled and furious that someone dared to make this request and he would even so much as consider it. Which struck me as a particularly churlish response! I can’t remember who was involved though. Also, I saw online that Stacey’s son had taken her bi-polar tablets and had a heart attack, and Lily stole Jean’s meds to stop herself becoming bi-polar. So is Martin going for full custody of those two as well? Better get Hope out of there before she is poisoned!

I thought the conversation between Elaine and Drew developed very realistically and was very tender by the end. It would be nice if he came in as a character in his own right, but I guess there’s enough going on in the square as it is!

Is Martin the next character they have decided to ruin, after The Six? I’m going to lie to her, become her greatest friend and support, and then steal her son. What a git. Joint custody or some access, fine, but this is appalling. Look how p*sped off everyone was when Ryan was trying to lure Lily away from St. Stacey. 😡
