I like all of those mentioned, and a proper trifle.

Treacle tart Or Treacle sponge Or Dumplings with treacle.
* For treacle above, read golden syrup. Always treacle to us. I don't eat puddings very often, which is probably a good thing.

Find it hard to resist rhubarb crumble but if the weather is too hot, then home grown strawberries & cream hits the spot Either that or rhubarb and apple crumble with custard. We had it just a few days ago when it looked like we were in for a very short summer.

I like all of those mentioned, and a proper trifle. My grandmother made a really excellent trifle which she taught my wife how to make.

I bought a Black Forest trifle in Waitrose this morning, and having read this thread I think I shall have to open it soon.
Fave stodgy pud for me is rhubarb crumble and custard.

Unfortunately , my favourite pudding is blackcurrant flan. I used to buy sponge flan bases from the supermarket but now they are not going to sell them anymore. Does anyone know what has happened to Edler's , the makers of the sponge bases? I have attempted to contact the firm by email but the email was bounced back. I am sad about this.
