Don't think we have a thread on this excellent series on BBC 4.
Tonight it was Georgia Brown again. Her performance was super, the choice of songs more suitable to her voice. Great fun to see John Inman and Barry Howard of Hi Di Hi fame who died quite recently and a very young looking Barry Cryer.

Is she the one who sings My Old Man with an RP accent? I found that very odd.

It was fun to see John Inman and Barry Howard together in the double act.

Is she the one who sings My Old Man with an RP accent? I found that very odd. I can't say I've heard her do that Miranda. She had an authentic, working class, Jewish, Londoner accent but she never did the cod-cockney stuff, the highly exaggerated pearly queen type accent we sometimes see on TV.

Not her then. This was definitely an RP accent.

It's 'received pronunciation' Nick, the proper, pukka, BBC Lord Reith era newsreader one.

Oh of course yes Georgia Brown was in the second series of Upstairs Downstairs and spoke with a very posh accent .. but I guess that's acting
