So...
Moira is off her head, again, staggers along a road to the point where a passing car pushes how down a slope, and the nice driver checks up on her, calls an ambulance, goes with her, stays by her bedside, calls the Woolpack, because of course in soapland everyone goes to the pub,and then it turns the mystery good-deeder turns out to be the mother of Nathan who just happens to turn up at the hospital at the same time.
Does rather stretch the credibility.

Ok,credibility check,again....
Woman is chained to a radiator for days, yet never seems to need to wee or anything,so by now would stink.
Kim,for some reason comes in,gets clonked on head, and somehow kidnapper manages to get her upstairs, just by dragging her, bonk, bonk, bonk on each step, but apparently no damage.
There is a feed on a phone to a website, that conveniently is being viewed at that precise moment, because Vanessa would know that....
Police are called, who somehow arrive on mass, within minutes but let's not do it quietly, let's have blue lights flashing, and for some odd reason send up a drone.
After a lifetime, police breakdown door, storm in only to find suspect had been drugged, because he obviously missed the hypodermic needle hidden away.
It is not real, but be realistic for goodness sake.

Last nights episode was a corker. Had me gripped from the start...Haven't said that about Emmerdale lately.

Actually, the drone is something that the real police do. They are fitted with infra-red and heat sensors and they are a lot cheaper than a helicopter.

They sent the drone up to use the heat sensor to check for people in the house as it was supposed to be empty (Laurel was in Australia) Pierce didn't see the needle because Rhona explained that in his arrogance he didn't bother to check her wash bag as he wouldnt expect her to hide it. I assumed Pierce let Vanessa use the bathroom at intervals, as he'd let her listen to Johnny and given her water to drink when she asked, but they're not really gonna show the toilet use as its not very interesting. It was over the too, but so are all the soaps. Boat crashes in Eastenders and factory explosions in Corrie and the ultimate, tram crash in Corrie, but it was exciting.

And now we are in for yet another soap cancer story.
So they can all talk about being brave,we can get through this and talk constantly in some teary manner.
Could do with some lighter moments this soap, it has all been full of misery recently.

I don’t know what it is about programmes these days and they are all as bad....but it would be nice to watch something that doesn’t with a warning of some kind beforehand (and at the end) !!

It is getting worse, all those croaky, sobby voices.
And how come in Emmerdale people get shot ,yet are up and about in 2 weeks?
And now there is a dodgy policeman and some drug dealing.
Still no larfs.

But good news.

Marlon to Ellis' dad. "You could fall in the river and come up with a salmon in yer gob!"
I've enjoyed these lockdown episodes. They've still managed to make interesting funny, dramatic episodes with limited cast and sets and plant seeds for upcoming storylines, like Paddy and Chas' marriage, Nicola's new business venture (what is it?) Ellis' dad's background. But it's back to 'normal' next week.
