Yes, I remember them and we had them at home a few times.
They were very cheap, but I couldn’t cook then, as a teenager, so it never crossed my mind to wonder what was in them. Nowadays, if you had them in a restaurant or a canteen, you’d be pretty sure, like with vegetable soup, that you were eating the leftovers from the day before........
So my guess is that the factory took all the fall out from cottage pies or similar, covered them with breadcrumbs and packaged them up.
I suppose people at home might have minced up the left over rissoles, shaped them up and refried them the next day..........a relic from make do and mend days. Where might it all have ended?
Did anyone have pig bins in their school dining room into which they had to scrape what was left on their plate?

Most mince pie manufacturers use last years unsold Christmas cake as the basis for this years mince pies. I call that sensible.
I remember the rissoles and we had a local butcher that made them too - very nice as I recall. We had pig bins in our school and I think some schools have reintroduced them.

I remember them, and the adverts for them. They tasted like bits of leftover something or other, so we tried them a couple of times then went back to our beloved fish fingers.
