We went to see this in Richmond yesterday and I think it still has quite a few dates.
It is a ghost story in the rather traditional sense, not a super scary horror show, but updated to include modern technology like Alexa.
The star is Joe McFadden and he did well, even if he did dance and there was a rather cringe suggestion about going on Strictly! His wife is played by Rita Simons but she was ill so we got the understudy, who covered well. Charlie Clements (Bradley from EE) was also in it and gave a good turn as an IT geek. Their daughter is constantly facetiming her friend and the one thing I couldn't hear properly was the friend's side of the conversation, and we were only in row C. The effects were quite good and when it was suggested that something bad might be about to happen, a wave of whispering suddenly broke out in the audience so most of us were pretty engaged I think.g
So on the whole I thought it was pretty good, not horrendously scary but a bit spooky and well performed by all of the cast. Our group seemed to have a good time and it got strong applause at the end. No whoops and hoollers but then Hair got loads of that and really wasn't that great. But then it seemed to me there were loads of friends of the cast (or even social influencers!!) in the audience at Hair and they just seem to go mad for anything.

Glad you enjoyed it marion. In my experience, proper ghost stories aren't particularly scary, not as in the horror genre, but they can leave you feeling uneasy.
