Despite programmes about the Tudors having almost reached saturation point - and we've just had The Boleyns on BBC2 - I found this new series on 5Select very enjoyable. Professor Suzannah Lipscomb's style is easy-going and informative as she visits 6 English locations, each of which contains several places of significance in Tudor times within walking distance of one another.
Aka 'Walking Tudor England' in some listings, all 6 episodes are repeated one after the other on 5Select, 2.00pm through to 8.00pm Sunday 5 September. They're also all on My5.

I've managed the Plymouth and Norfolk episodes and they were very good. I think they must have been done in lockdown because the sound quality is very bad sometimes. I wondered whether she had to manage the mic herself etc because when outside in and about places it was hard to hear her but fine once she went back inside.

Just seen the Yorkshire episode, we liked a revolt in the North didn't we.
