Jo Joyner stars in this C5 original drama about a woman on maternity leave who is a bit worn out and is happy to make a new friend. Rookie error!!!! I don’t know any more than that but clearly she has a hidden secret.
From Monday 5 June for 4 consecutive nights.

I'm hooked already! Glad it's all on this week. I can't work out why Laura and Rob aren't suspicious of her already. I mean, why don't they wonder how she manages to be there all the time for them when she's supposed to have a child of her own to look after. She's suspiciously available too often. I wouldn't trust her at all.

I agree, they seem far too trusting of her, from the outset really. I'm pretty sure I would not be easily won over by someone discovered with my missing daughter, who claimed to be looking for me but actually seemed to be a long way from the playground and making off in the wrong direction. Took me a while to realise she (the actor) is Helen in 'All Creatures Great and Small'.

She is Helen and an Oscar winner too apparently. News to me but I read it in the blurb somewhere.

Bit of a change from Mrs Herriot!
I can't say I took much to any of the characters but I am intrigued by whatever is going on with them so will keep watching.

I finished this last night and really enjoyed it. Mrs Herriot was very good and didn’t she look marvellous as a modern woman rather than in 40s style. I always like Jo Joyner, a bit of an Everywoman, and then they cast Cora The Explorer from EE as her mother again!! Very entertaining stuff I thought.

I decided not to bother with this, mainly, I think, because I’m still cross with Channel 5 for annihilating The Catch when they showed that earlier this year. However….
… I think I’ll watch it now on Catch Up now I’ve read all your comments here.

I quite liked it, though not unreservedly. I found it sometimes a bit contrived, with Emily's plans falling into place rather too easily - a few words here, a quick phone call there and people seemed to readily change their minds about what they were or weren't going to do. It was an interesting idea though, and worth watching. By the end I thought it was faintly reminiscent of Killing Eve (but perhaps that's just me).
