Are you watching Death in Paradise, Marion? Episode 7, about the band member who was shot in his coffin (!), had Adrian Dunbar playing a man who bought a drink in Catherine's bar. Unless I nodded off, he didn't do anything else or have any significance to the plot. Can this really be? Unless perhaps he was already in Guadeloupe, where it's filmed, and they took advantage of it to have another star with hardly anything to do.

Sorry, I am not watching this on Drama. I watch on BBC when first shown, but like many things these days have little recall of the episodes once watched. That would be so funny, spotting a star on holiday and getting them to do a cameo in your show. I love it.

He reappeared in the following episode (I think it was shown last Thursday?)...with a more central role

Yes, I've now watched the last episode in the first series and he does indeed have a central role. Phew! I guess he was there in the penultimate episode to set him up as a love interest for Catherine. Poor Catherine! Though if he's going to be a villain, he might as well be a dishy one.

Shetland is being repeated on Drama - a bit of a surprise as it's not long since the last repeat, but I'm pleased as I lost my recordings when I had to replace my Humax box. Saturday evenings, 9 pm which is the same time as Beck so I've recorded it to enjoy at my leisure. I don't know if the whole lot are being repeated or if they'll stop after a while, as they did with Spooks, but it is on again next Saturday.

Bergerac.
I am not sure if they are repeating the whole lot, but it says in the paper today that Drama is showing Bergerac from the start (of its ten year run). It is showing daily at 9.00, repeated at 16.00 and starts on Tuesday 13 September.

Murdoch Mysteries
According to my paper the current series ends tonight but a new one starts next Saturday, usual time.
That may mean we need to reset series link if recording.

Series link is a bit odd on drama, father brown has started 1st episode wed, 2nd Friday, it is then repeated at other times but selecting series link only picks up the weds episode.
I have had odd results trying to record Murdoch. Some weeks it's does, some it doesn't, but I never get an error and I often see the recording logo and channel number appear on screen.

Channel 5and 5USA can be peculiar too. Sometimes they record fine, once a week, other times they pick up every showing of the one episode. I record those series singly as the repeats can clash with other recordings. You have to keep in your toes, LOL.
