Sister Boniface Mysteries.
Well I enjoyed that. Very nice afternoon viewing. According to Google there is a series 2 planned so I hope Drama picks it up.

I did too. Once I learnt to roll with the silly plots, it was good fun to watch.

Atlantic Crossing.
Episode 1 (of 8) is on Drama 9.00 pm this Saturday 14 January, and repeated 6.50 pm Sunday 15 January. Catch up on UKTV Play.
This fact-based drama won the 2021 Emmy award for best international TV movie/mini-series. Crown Princess Martha of Norway is forced to flee when Hitler invades her country in 1940. She persistently tries to get US President Franklin D Roosevelt to come to Norway's aid despite the USA being, at the time, neutral.
I've seen this and thought it was good. It's lavishly filmed, and stars Sofia Helin & Kyle MacClachlan as Crown Princess Martha & Franklin D. Roosevelt.

I agree that it is good, and anybody who likes it, if they can, should watch the Norwegian film The King's Choice which covers the story of King Haakon VII's flight from Norway. It is available on Amazon Prime.

Smother.Irish family drama (i.e. drama centred on a family, not drama suitable for family viewing!), set on the wild Atlantic coast of County Clare and starring Dervla Kirwan as the matriarch. This is season 1, now about to be on a FTA channel; seasons 1 & 2, which I've seen, have been on Alibi. I thought it was pretty good and would recommend it. The third and final season has recently been broadcast in Ireland on RTE1. Episodes 1 & 2 are on the Drama channel, 2.00am and 3.00am Monday 17 April (i.e. very late Sunday night!). They're repeated at a more sociable time, 9.00pm and 10.10pm Friday 21 April. Link to the Alibi page: alibi.uktv.co.uk/smother/article/about-smother/ (in which I suggest also visiting the panel at top right, "Who's Who in Smother", as the relationships between the various family members are a bit complex!).

Smother.
Funnily enough that very late night showing was on every day, so I have the full series recorded. I watched the first last night and am fully engaged. I thought at first, good grief how am I supposed to unravel all these relationships, but thought the exposition was done very well. I think this might be my weekend treat.

Smother.
I finished this last night and really enjoyed it. I thought it was a one off but if there are two more, I hope we get them on Freeview.
