More 4, Friday 17 February at 9.00.
A new Scandi eight parter, and what's more it is all on TV rather than just the first episode. Hurrah!
it stars Lars Mikkelsen (oh yes!) and starts with the murders of three prostitutes in the same manner on three consecutive days in Copenhagen, Berlin and Antwerp. So it is Euro more than just Scandi perhaps.
The RT says that LM lifts what is a decent policier with a few sly twists.

I am enjoying quite a lot of it. The scenery is amazing, it's very stylish and tense. But I have absolutely no idea what is going on. I followed the first epi just fine but this second one had me utterly confused.

I'm really enjoying this. It's rather different to usual police dramas.

I'm enjoying it too, though I think Lars Mikkelsen is rather carrying the whole thing, wouldn't be as good without him.
Also when they have their video conferences, I can't help thinking of the Eurovision Song Contest - "Hello Germany, what have you got for us?", "Hi Belgium, here is some film of Maria's birthday party" - I must try and take them more seriously!

The video conferencing is very high quality isn't it? A lot better than anything I ever used at work!

Series 2 starts on Friday (1st. Nov, More4, 9.00pm).
I see Lars Mikkelsen isn't in it any more (in fact, looking at imdb, there's been a total change of cast, with not a single actor featuring in both series). As I thought Lars to be the mainstay of S1, that doesn't bode too well.
On the other hand, it does have Marie Bach Hansen, who was just about my favourite actor in 'The Legacy'.

I'm pleasantly surprised. I thought this was a good start and will definitely be continuing with it.

I've just started watching and am enjoying it BUT that German cop! He has just dumped his daughter on his second wife who is already looking after three children! What a git. I hate him. Claudia's mother looked rather young I thought or maybe it was a bit of soft focus.
I didn't know you could find refugee safe houses on Facebook. I'm surprised the police can't do that either and move in. Rather an horrific series of murders to kick things off.

I'm enjoying it. The German detective continues to be portrayed in a not very sympathetic light. Looks like we've been introduced to the gunman, a nasty piece of work.
Albert (in England, about to go to Denmark) is played by Mark Heap (Green Wing, Lark Rise to Candleford, etc.). I thought it was him last week but he's not in the programme's end credits - imdb confirms.

Yes I like it too. I looked up Mark Heap also. I thought he seemed a bit sinister last week but he was better in this episode. Unless he doesnt take her to Denmark of course!

I have just finished this and rather enjoyed it. I thought it was better than series 1 as there were no interminable video conferences. The plot was pretty strong and there was a lot of action. And I found nearly all the characters incredibly annoying at some point!

I agree with all that (except maybe the last sentence). It was a distinct improvement on the first series, not least because the video conferences were replaced with detectives actually being together (though this did lead to some flitting rather too easily betwen countries at the drop of a hat).
The surveillance of activity in Syria etc. was hard to swallow. I thought at first they were using drones and wondered how the subjects hadn't noticed them whirring away up there. But then it was revealed this was via satellites. Has that really reached the stage where the resolution is enough to watch individual people on the ground and identify them from their faces? I don't think so.
But it was entertaining, and I would welcome another one. I imagine it would be quite hard to organise, with all the different countries involved.
