I must admit one of my highlights has been hearing the brilliant Dan Maskell. IMO the best ever. Saddest bit was watching Jana Novotna, such a lovely lady. ....Mark Cox was excellent in The CB too...

I'm watching the second game from this afternoon. Someone should force Andrew Castle to sit down and listen to hours of how Dan Maskell did it. He might then learn that you don't need to fill every second with your voice. The difference in the amount of trivial yapping is amazing.
ETA: Actually, it's not that which annoys me the most. It's Castle's arrogant assumption that he's the expert and none of us know anything about what we have just seen so he has to tell us what we have just seen.
Maskell always seemed to assume that we would know and didn't need telling.

True! Although faint praise indeed for Andrew Castle!

I know I have really missed Wimbledon this year...but the BBC have more than made up for it with their nostalgia type coverage.

I've only been watching the early ones as the evening ones have too much chat for me.

Some long-forgotten memories... Jo Durie beating a seriously young Steffi Graf, she must have been about 15!

First time I ever saw Arthur Ashe play. I was too young to be interested when it was played.

He does, doesn't he? A tad wider across the face but otherwise he's the spit of him.

Wimbledon will distribute £10m of prize money to the 620 players who would have taken part in the 2020 Championships. Singles players who would have been in the main draw will be given £25,000, with qualifiers, doubles and wheelchair players also each receiving money.
Also, it has been announced that from now on, seedings will now follow ATP rankings, rather than being weighted to account for previous results on grass.

That's good of them. A lot of the lower ranking players will be suffering financially now.

Had a lovely 3 hours this afternoon, had forgotten how some of the matches played out,and for me Andy Murray's victory would always be number 1.
Only got to see him on the big screen on the hill, but even that was an experience.
