Just to say, it's on C4 tonight, started at 8 but it is also on C4 + 1. Have set to record as it's 3 hours long. Haven't seen it before, anyway.

I've never seen it but I heard it's very colonial It's never really appealed to me that much, but I probably will enjoy the special effects. It's got a strong environmental theme apparently, that frankly puts me off.

Imagine a cowboys and Indians film moved in the the future with humans and aliens and there you more or less have it except on this occasion the "Indians" won.

I went to the cinema and watched Avatar in 3D. It was spectacular. I loved it so much I bought the DVD. I have watched it a couple of times since and will no doubt watch it again.

Gargleblaster's right, Cowboys and Indians in space ... more than that the States expansion into Indian territories because of the discovery of gold mixed up with the ecological message of course ... Like althea I've watched it a number of times but never in 3D, bet that must be remarkable.
