Who's driving the Ute? Amy was in the driving seat and very angry but I don't think she'd do that so who's managed to get into the van in the 2 seconds she's vacated it.
I hope David's ok.🤕 ...Piper, muh!

Preview snippets at end seemed to be hinting it might be the new girl . . agree - wouldn't be Amy .. could it?
What about Finn then? Devious or what? Susan will soon realise that Ellie's version of previous events is true. Remember Susan phoning his former employer? He seemed to be giving Finn a good reference due to some sort of blackmail.

I thought it could be the new girl because earlier in the episode we saw her sitting in a truck/car and bragging how she'd been driving for years, even though she's not old enough (I assume on the farm they owned) But I think it would be too obvious to be her, plus although she can't legally drive she probably has enough experience to not reverse it straight into the hostel. I was thinking it could be Jimmy, he was looking at her in the truck and seemed impressed and it is his moms Ute. And then there's TBone, but again a bit too obvious.

If today's episode is anything to go by, then Sonya is also in the frame. Mishti seemed very much in her element at the scene of the accident - I wonder what she does for a living (I don't think it's been mentioned, has it?). Little Nell wasn't in today's episode, but I like that she's getting properly involved in storylines. She's such a natural! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I think Mishti is a cop and maybe a potential love interest for Mark. She was so in control at the scene and was using terms that emergency service workers would use like telling the backpackers to 'evacuate' the site instead of get outside and 'preserving the scene' etc. The woman at the cafe said something about memories of an accident so maybe something happened in her job.
Karl said David could have speech and memory issues. I wonder if he'll remember the last 2wks and Pauls speech and if remember that he's come out. It's reminding me on Chris's attack, didn't he have memory issues.
I agree about Nell, she's a little scene stealer.

I love Neighbours but I think it's veered off onto a bizarre path, as it's done before, but not in a good way this time. One minute Lauren and brad are struggling for cash (embezzled house money) but now they can afford to relocate .... the whole Paige/baby/Jack scenario has worn too thin. Yet another Rebecci clan member never before mentioned just drifts in. Plus overly glamouras family in tow. And I still think Therese and Gary is the most ridiculous liaison ever, she is much better suited with Paul. It seems everyone has to have at least one major accident and end up in hospital at some stage and Dr Karl is always present and knows about EVERY condition under the sun ... The whole "new sons for Paul" story is just plain silly. And as if Tyler and piper could actually LIVE on a mezzanine level ? Supposed grown ups ? The whole surrogate baby thing was daft too. As if. But I have to say, sonyas acting re the drinking thing has been very worthy. But the whole lot of them have been totally outshone by little nell (has she been script writing too lately I wonder ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ) 🤗🤦♀️😜

Ooh, quite a packed episode today with loads going on! Here's the recap for lara's benefit:
- Elly implied Amy was responsible for the accident (if I were Amy, I'd be very concerned about their friendship - Elly has had a bit of a nasty streak towards her lately).
- The Ganesh statue turned up in a car Mark was in at the Backpackers (not sure whose car it was).
- Elly & Xanthe had a conversation at the hospital, and Elly suspected Finn was getting inappropriate with her.
- Sonya denied she had a drinking problem to Mark.
- Elly confronted Finn about his inappropriateness with Xanthe. He said it wouldn't happen again.
- Amy and Jack talked, but we're still none the clearer what she's hiding.
- Elly spoke with Susan about Finn and Xanthe.
- Mark and Steph spoke about Sonya's drinking. Mark admitted he loved Sonya (to Steph, of all people, lol!). He agreed he'd keep his distance.
- Susan spoke to Xanthe, but she denied Finn had been inappropriate. Susan said she'd find her another tutor.
- Sonya came clean to Mark about her drinking problem, but told him to keep it to himself as she didn't want Toadie to know (she fears it will make it look like she can't look after Nell).
- Amy was cleared of being responsible for the crash (a witness saw her in the Lassiter's complex at around the time it happened).
- Finn and Xanthe spoke. She persuaded him that they should still be friends - he was easily persuaded, but told her they had to meet in private and she couldn't tell anyone.
- Mark didn't have an alcoholic beverage in the evening, saying he was doing it in solidarity for a friend. Paige thought he meant her (LOL!).
- Finn spoke with Elly. She told him she wants to take things slow, then backed off altogether, saying it had been a mistake; she didn't want a relationship with him. He blew up in her face, and she told him to get out.

I think Amy was talking to Jack about her stealing the Ganesh statue from Harolds Cafe, which was the statue Mark found in the vehicle at the Backpackers, Amy's Ute. It was made out that Any could have been talking about the crash but told Jack that if she told the truth (about stealing the statue) then they wouldn't believe that she wasn't capable of causing the crash. But it turned out that a witness had seen her so she's in the clear for the crash anyway. But she may need to come clean about the statue otherwise ones of the Rebbeci kids, Yashvi, could be in the frame.

Something was up with Xanthe's voice too - thought it was braces on her teeth, couldn't see any? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) ?

Ah, right. Yes, that makes sense (re. Amy and statue).

Yeah, Xanthes voice sounded a little strange, I think it was just a cold though.
I can't stand Elly, she's such a stirrer. Cause she's done crazy stuff when she's been angry over a relationship she thinks everyone is capable. And then telling Finn off for getting too close to Xanthe, which is right, but she did the same with Angus. She's always telling people off for stuff she's done herself. I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her.
