Starting on Wednesday 13 July at 9.00.
This is a US remake of the Belgian series Cordon which aired on BBC4. I don't know whether to give it a try in case the story has been changed or just assume it will be worse than the original! Watching the Belgian series, I got really annoyed that people could be left in such conditions in the middle of a European city. I reckon I could have organised things better than the Belgian authorities did.

Not a lot of laughs in this one. Doesn't even have the "pretty people in ridiculous plots" entertainment factor I got from The 100 in this time slot.
Characters in place and plots set up - check.
I did end up finding it watchable, if a bit grim. It seemed to me people in the containment area would do best to hole up in an isolated room (with water), but of course they're going to run around panicking and infecting each other. The children are already annoying - was it really necessary to have a whole busload of them? And yet...
I have nothing better to do at this time, so it might work as wallpaper (albeit a bit gory) while I play on the internet.

I confess I didn't watch it. I was not so enamoured with the original that had too many holes in the plot, to make me want to watch an American re-make. Re-makes are very rarely any good (the are exceptions of course) and generally show a paucity of original ideas.

We started watching it but gave up about halfway through it .. usual crap, people doing things they wouldn't do or wouldn't be allowed to do for the sake of the story .......

I watched this and quite enjoyed it. It will be interesting to see what happens to the leading characters. I read somewhere it is a one off series.

Yes, I switched off when the doctor ran onto the bus to scare the hell out of the children, and their teacher, without any other explanation, but what made it worse was that everyone on the bus seemed entirely non-plused.

And the teacher seemed to have run of all the private areas of the hospital

I read in the new RT that it is a very faithful remake, line by line almost, of the Belgian original so I shan't watch it as I have already seen it!

anyone seen this? still time to catch up on first epi with on demand or 01:15 am Monday. Quite promising so far, a deadly virus sweeping an American city so a containment field set up separating families & loved ones.

Episode 2 was weirdly quite dull. Still maneuvering the cast into place for when the panic breaks out and (I suppose) trying to build tension.
I'm spending time trying to predict who will die - pregnant girl's party friend was a goner at first appearance. PG herself is probably good to go, but I'm not sure about her boyfriend. HazMat woman and her friends are going to have to go looking for food soon, which spells doom for at least some of them. Teacher is probably safe, but Cop has a strong vibe of 'heroic death imminent'.
ETA Warning: I just went to IMDB to check how many episodes there are and got an unexpected spoiler in that the cast list shows how many episodes each character appears in.
