I went to see this today and thought it was great fun. Bidie said it was well received in Edinburgh and the rest of the UK tour has just started. It goes on until October, loads of venues.
I read the reviews before going and was expecting good costumes, check, a surprisingly complex set for a touring production, check, a good cast performance, check, an excellent lead by Cameron Blakey as Gomez, check. Sadly the theatre was, I would say, only about a quarter full and in fact they closed the upper circle and sent people down to the dress. I used to love it when that happened!!!!
Samantha Womack reminded me of Victoria Beckham rather than Angelica Huston for some reason, and do you remember the Ronnie Mitchell hair flick which drove some people mad? Well it's back with a vengeance here! As this tours until October I can't see her being able to do SCD, as per the rumours. It also stars Les Dennis as Fester and Wednesday was played by Carrie Hope Fletcher (who apparently has a huge internet following according a Wednesday-alike in the audience).
So I really liked it and was very pleased I booked. And if La Cage Aux Folles which is also touring with John Partridge is on locally, I recommend that too.

I'd like to see La Cage Aux Folles, its on at Birmingham Hippo but the tickets are £35-40! I know thats probably cheap compared to London but it's too much for me. I don't think the Hippo do cheap on the day tickets either like some on the London theatres. I've just checked for the matinee and a lot of tickets are still available and I'm sure theyd sell more and have a fuller theatre if they did reduced on the day tickets. Surely it's better to get some money than no money and it's more drink and programme sales. The cheapest are £20 but that's the back row of the stalls and back 3 rows of circle! That's one of the reasons I saw What's In A Name as it was only £10 and I had 2nd row. Oh well.

Wimbledon Theatre seats are around that price but seniors get discounts for the midweek matinee and there are group discounts too. I paid £25 for TAFM today.

I can't get any group or concessions prices. I try and keep an eye out for cheap seats. I saw Lazarus in London for £15 and some of the Saturday night seats for that were £125! And I saw Jason Manford in the Producers for £12 with an online discount code and I'll see The Play That Goes Wrong next month for £10 and What's In A Name with Nigel Harmen and Sarah Hadland for £10, so it can be done, it's just a hassle and it's the musicals that tend to be the most expensive without any discounts.

I try, but I only got the cheap Lazarus because I brought them the day they went on sale. I loved that and I tried to get another ticket for a couple of months later but all the cheap ones had gone! (It was the front or back row. I had the front so if two characters were on opposite sides of the stage I was playing tennis moving my head from side to side because I was too close!lol But worth it.
Tickets for anything are dearer now. I looked at Neil Diamond tickets the other day,and it was something like £140 each! There was a £17.50 admin fee, and that's usually a percentage. I brought 4 tickets years ago, in the early 00s for £120 total!
Sorry, off on a tangent. Glad you enjoy your show. What's next for your theatre group?

Next week it is Half A Sixpence but I am going to make up the numbers as I didn't fancy it really. But friends have seen it and thought it was great so you never know.
I wanted to see What's in a Name after you posted about it and l saw the reviews. So I looked up the tour and yes, there was one...... it was in ONE other theatre. So I didn't think that was exactly a tour! LOL.
