Love this programme. Amy is getting some good lines nowadays. I like Sheldon & Leonard, not so keen on Raj - I don't think he adds anything to the group.

I love Sheldon's mother. (The actress was also Nanny G in Frasier.)
She gets some great lines.

Sheldons Mother is played by Laurie Metcalf who also played Roseannes sister Jackie I was a bit worried about it as it seemed to be turning into the Sheldon Show with him dominating it ..but it seems to be more spread out again now  |

Sheldon's mother and Leonard's father were obviously together at the hotel at the end of the last episode - with their phones switched off. I hope thay signalled them really getting together and, who knows, maybe Sheldon and Leonad will end up as step brothers.
Some people on other forums don't like the way the show has changed, but they couldn't stay as they were in the first series - they had to grow up. I really like the way that Penny is the one person who seems to really understand Sheldon and the relationship they now have.

I really like the way that Penny is the one person who seems to really understand Sheldon and the relationship they now have. Yeah, they had to grow up, but that's no reason for them to stop being funny. I knew it wasn't the show it was when I would just leave the Tivo to record it and watch it whenever I got round to it rather than planting myself in front of the TV to watch it live. I can't remember the last time it even raised a chuckle. A real shame. |

I laugh in all the episodes, even when I've seen them several times.
Howard couldn't still think he was God's gift to women and be as disgusting as he was.
Leonard couldn't still be hankering after Penny.
Penny couldn't still be a bimbo waitress hoping for an acting part.
Sheldon couldn't still be the obnoxious socially/emotionally unaware person he was and still have friends.
Raj couldn't stay mute in the presence of women.
I have no feelings about Amy or Bernadette.
All of that would have become very boring.
The humour is different, but it's still funny IMO.

Sheldon's not really changed. He's progressed a little in terms of his relationship with Amy but that's about it.
I'm not terribly keen on Raj these days; bit of a player.
Penny's a million miles from a bimbo; she's more astute than the rest of them put together. She had - still has, to some extent - a terrific and rather touching relationship with Sheldon.
Amy I really like; Mayim Bialik has some great lines and spot on comic timing. Bernadette adds nothing but the nails on chalkboard effect.

I've very late to this show, but I love it. I think I've finally seen all the ones pre-Penny having her hair cut short but I guess I'll always play catch up with this! It's a fab show though with many LOL moments!
