Saw one during the week That I have not seen before, thought I had seen them all. It was a Julia Mackenzie one. Maybe Joan hickson didn't do that book?
it was good but it seemed to cover a wide time frame and it wasn't really clear (to me) how miss Marplee was in the area for the whole time span, normally her story is quite prominent as to why she is where.
good all the same

A lot of the Marple stories done by ITV are books that didn't contain Miss Marple at all. So the reasons for getting her involved can often be ropey.

I just watched Margaret Rutherford in Murder Most Foul on Saturday morning, quite jolly really considering three people got killed, one hanging, a poisoning and a gassing and Margaret barely dropped a stitch in her knitting!! What-ho!

My daughter has just read some Marple and tells me that most of the tales are short stories and told as recollections over the dinner table to entertain guests and there is not a lot of indication of how old Marple is when they happened just post war (WW1) and before (WW2). Has anyone else read them.

Yep! She does get out and about in other stories. That's a particular collection based on after-dinner stories that your daughter read.
