Have the grown ups got it right? Is this list of 50 films "must see" for children up to 11? Or is it adults looking back nostalgically to their own childhoods? My own list would certainly be different, with less Disney, and more Studio Ghibli like stuff; Pixar is fine. I'd have to think about some of the others. www.intofilm.org/msm |

Yeah.... I think that list isn't bad, to be honest. Most of the films have a good message, some deeper than others. Shame there aren't more foreign films in the list.

Quite a good list. But where's The Wizard of Oz? And perhaps Black Beauty, The Railway Children, and that one with children playing adult parts, and firing custard pies out of machine guns - forgotten what it's called!
