The second series of Safe House will premiere on ITV on Thursday September 7th at 9pm.
Safe House follows charismatic yet impulsive ex-police officer Tom Brook who runs a police safe house, which stands by the edge of the sea on the rugged coastline of Anglesey, a wild and beautiful sanctuary. Many years before the events depicted in series two he investigated a series of abductions perpetrated by an assailant known as ‘The Crow’. On hearing of a crime bearing the same hallmarks Tom immediately goes to the crime scene, revealing to the police that he believes ‘The Crow’ is active again.
Stars Stephen Moyer (True Blood), Zoe Tapper (Lewis), Dervla Kirwan, (Injustice, Blackout), Jason Watkins (The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies, The Secret), Sunetra Sarker (Casualty), Ashley Walters (Top Boy, Cuffs), Sacha Parkinson (Mr Selfridge, The Driver) and Joel MacCormack (Wolf Hall).

Is this the show that Christopher Eccleston did a year or two ago?

Is this the one that had Christopher Eccleston in the first series? - if so they've shifted it down and to the left a bit because it was previously set in the Lake District.
The first series wasn't very good imo, I seem to remember giving up on it. This seems to be about a different place and a new set of people since I don't recall any of that cast being in it before. Maybe I'll give it a try to see if it's improved...

If it is the one with Chris Eccleston in then I really enjoyed it last time. Will certainly give it a try, but it's a shame Chris does not appear to be in it this time

I'm liking this more than series 1 - I'll stick with it.
Doesn't it often seem to be the case that the same actor is in two different shows at the same time. Zoe Tapper is in this and in 'Liar' - I'll have to keep reminding myself which character she is.

What a poor ending. It was obvious a mile off who the villain was, and the actual ending, while beautifully filmed, was such a cop-out. I remember bailing out of the first series but can't remember why now. I wonder if Christopher Eccleston saw the script of this second series and did the same?

If I had known what a lousy ending this had...I would not have bothered watching it.

Agreed. Totally annoying ending - are they setting it up for series 3?

An unsatisfactory ending, and I'm afraid the series as a whole went downhill rather for me after a promising first episode. It seemed a bit disjointed, with characters being introduced who then just disappeared from view - for example, what happened to Craig, the Irish lad who made a pass at Sam in episode 1? Or Dani, who had an affair with stepfather John?

If I believed my life was in danger and I was in a Safe house I wouldn’t go out to the local pub or to a party, if I was told not to use my mobile phone I wouldn’t use it. These people just wandered about behaving as though they were on holiday, it didn’t seem a very safe house to me. It was messy and disjointed exactly as geometryman said.
