Without having seen any of the publicity and having seen only the briefest of descriptions, about this I watched this thinking (despite the title) it might be interesting and vaguely educational. How wrong I was... 
Basically a group of 'lads' are trained as Roman gladiators whilst supported by their girlfriends in a variety of challenges. Any historical knowledge passed on is purely coincidental.
