Hello both!
Eammon, the reason I built this is because the Other POV board has turned into a bit of a fiefdom. I don't know if you've been there recently but it's all getting a bit tense. And the Admin has always threatened to close it in a fit of pique. He changed his mind and just got rid of the Mods.
So this is here as an alternative. I hope you'll like it!

We wondered where you had gone. I've looked in from the other board ... I was cross about the moving of the Doctor Who thread, especially as I had started it.
Don't like the banning of politics either ... adults can discuss these things, as long as they do not get nasty and abusive! Those kind of posts should be frowned upon.

I was on holiday last week but could see what was coming before I went. That's why I opened this.
And I totally agree that we are all grown-ups and the other board seemed to working well using that priniciple. Unfortunately the Absolute Power truism seems to have kicked in.
Obviously I will jump on anything nasty or disrepectful to anyone else but hopefully, as most of us know each other, I won't need to put my Big Mod Boots on very often.

I'm certainly not ignoring the possibility that the 'usual suspects', as they've come to be known, might make things a bit unpleasant for a spell, but I think there are other ways to deal with them than the nuclear option. That bridge is yet to be crossed, or looked under, for now...
