Hi Liz, glad to meet you! This is the only forum I am on - I jumped in when it started up last year - prior to that I used to just read the BBC Points of View forum. I was also made very welcome and chat mainly in the Green Room. I live in Lancashire and recently stopped work - had enough of the rat race! I enjoy pottering about, watching Pete's Pond (see Really Good Animal Cam thread) and have recently bought a bicycle named Daisy

The other forum is very local to Reading, called, wait for it... Reading Forum ! Although I no longer live there it was my home all my life until we came here four years ago, so I like to keep in touch with what’s happening. You can take the girl out of Reading but you can’t take Reading out of the girl 😄

Hi Lizwing, welcome to our happy band
The title 'Reading Forum' could, I imagine, lead to some confusion...

Hello,
I used to post on the old BBC boards, but got fed up when all the changes started, and deleted my account. I found this place through a thread on "Digital Spy" which I lurked on for a few years, and decided to look it over.
My television tastes are fairly mixed, though at the moment, because I am in bed with lung problems, I am bingeing on things like Criminal Minds, Crossing Lines, and Agents of SHIELD. I have just finished Castle, having managed to get through it for the first time. I had always struggled with the last two seasons, but managed to will myself through them. I had a similar problem with NCIS after season 8, but don't see myself trying to catch up on that.
In terms of BBC stuff, I like anything historical, anything natural, some of the things like QI and Would I Lie to You, though, at times, that does seem over edited, and anything to do with travel round the UK.

Hi Pattery! This is a lovely forum and I'm sure you will be made very welcome. I post mainly in the Green Room but keep an eye on all the new posts and chip in when I can. Hope your problems resolve soon

As I have stuck my head above the parapet on the Quiz thread, I had better introduce myself. I'm Linda, habitual lurker. I belonged to the BBC POV board but only made about two posts there, moved to the other ProBoard forum which was started after POV closure and made a few posts, then moved here as soon as it was set up and have lurked ever since.
My online presence is fairly minimal as I don't do Facebook or Twitter. I do post occasionally on the Digital Spy forums, and I have belonged to another ProBoard forum for over ten years, but it's not mainly TV orientated, apart from classics adaptations. I used to enjoy reading the IMDb boards too, until they were closed.
My TV likes are mainly dramas, along with a few comedy shows, factual, and the ubiquitous Strictly Come Dancing. TV dislikes are any other talent/singing/dancing/reality/celebrity shows, news and current affairs (prefer to read it), and nature programmes (I know! I especially won't watch national treasure, David Attenborough). I'm neutral on sport. Recent (ish) TV favourites include: Wolf Hall, Happy Valley, Detectorists, Game of Thrones, Would I Lie to You, Endeavour, The Crown. And I'm a Pointless addict.

Hello. I just want to let the Admins/Moderators know that this is a duplicate account. I'm hoodylover. I didn't realise the pro board forums were linked and I registered on another forum using a different email address. I didn't think it would affect my account here, but it has and I was unable to log in. Sorry. I'm rubbish at this stuff. I don't want to break the rules, so can my hoodylover account be deleted please. Email me at hoodylover email address for confirmation if you need to.
Thanks.

Ok, I have disabled your Hoodylover account, rather than delete it, as that's the only one coming up on the Member's list. If your Hoody account is working, reply to this.
