I know but I would have liked to hear him one last time before the dread that Dermot O Leary may get the gig. Tim Rice has a monotonic voice.

SOTS is one of my favourite radio programmes and Brian Matthew has a wealth of knowledge having worked or known many of the artists he plays.I do hope it is just a temporary absence from the show.

Why on earth does Chris Evans have to scream and shout into a microphone every morning? They complained about his screaming on the short time he spent making Top Gear, this is radio we are talking about now. He has a very sensitive microphone in front of him and he continues to scream into it.

He has a very sensitive microphone in front of him and he continues to scream into it. He speaks too quickly too. What really irritates me though is his constant giggling. His only redeeming feature (for me) is that he's very good with the kids who phone in to talk about the thing they did for the first time.
