Just looked it up. It was Tony Gubba and he passed away shortly after the last series ended. Rip

This new commentator is dreadful ( he should stick to horses)
When the wonderful and funny Tony Gubba died, he was replaced by Simon Reed who did an excellent job.
Shame they couldn't get him back.
I did enjoy the rest of the programme though but miss seeing Torvill and Dean skating .

Didn't hear anything but then I tend to FFd a lot of the beginning.
Oh Cheryl, bless her. You can see she's terrified but she's grinning like a trouper.

The commentator was a vast improvement.
I was surprised to see Lemar in the skate off...I was sure it would be Cheryl.

I think Cheryl is going to be the Susan Calman of DoI. She's pretty popular with the public and the skater has his own fan base as well.
