I thought it would be the chap who was partway through his turn at the beginning of last night's programme, glad he left with a substantial sum The rather eccentric lady was fun, but oh dear, foolhardy. She was very Oh well never mind, in the chair, but the look on her face as she walked away said something quite different

A couple of tricky "easy" questions! How many people know the Spanish word for beer, I wonder (for £500)? And I did not know the answer to the video game for £1000. I think many people would struggle with that one too.

Every question is easy if you know the answers,l shouted Stirling Moss before the options came up.

...surprised that clown wasn't an option on the funambulist question...how many contestants should have opted for that.....

I am surprised that she couldn't work out the funambulist question, there is a clue in the question (ambulate).

A couple of tricky "easy" questions! How many people know the Spanish word for beer, I wonder (for £500)? Funny that most Yanks would know that. Because of our high Mexican and Puerto Rican populations a lot of signage is in both English and Spanish. Pubs and liquor stores in most cities will have dual "Cold Beer/Cerveza Fria" signs.

I've been convinced every night that we were watching the winner only to see them have to retire gracefully or in some cases make an awful guess Looking forward to finding it out who it is!

.....just wondering what the occupation of the million winner will be...teacher perhaps or maybe just an avid quizzer......just hope it's someone who really needs the money but they usually quit before they get anywhere near a million.....they don't want to take any risks....

He is a History and Politics Teacher with a geography hobby and he very honestly and humbly said the questions just fell right, and they sure did.
We all got the million pound question (6 of us online). The only one I didn't get was the whales, I got the theory like he did but couldn't remember which whale was the odd one out.
Lucky man, clever and friendly, but he was correct, there were no questions on music, film, modern culture, food, prizes/awards or just general trivia like who sold the most records at Christmas etc.
He got a couple of history, about 3 on Politics, geography and one about his wife's job.
I hope they both have a great time travelling.

That was amazing. Was there nothing he didn’t know about?

No sport or technology, either. Of course, we don’t know who all his friends were who might’ve covered his gaps. He only mentioned his dad and brother.

I'm sure there is plenty beth, but like he said, the questions fell well for him on the night.
