Yes, that really annoys me too lizwing. If we only took notice of things that happened within our memory span no-one would know any history at all.
I so agree about subliminal learning. I cannot understand how a reasonably intelligent person doesn't do this. I listen to the radio, I watch television, I read....and I find I can recall names and facts, even about things I have no interest in, because I absorbed them without knowing I was doing it....and I am in my 70s fgs so surely someone decades younger should do it too. Then there is the educated guess, something I find works very well in lots of quizzes; you don't know the answer but use the knowledge that you do have to make a deduction and very often you come up with the right answer. None of these contestants seems able to apply that. As Who Wants to Be a Millionaire has gone on this week I am very surprised to find myself warming to Jeremy Clarkson and growing more and more annoyed/frustrated with the contestants!

The chap we had to end last night's episode on was doing rather well. I hope he comes back this evening and continues to do so. I hope nerves haven't kicked in overnight.

I really stand need to talk about the contestants as I got in a muddle with my recordings last night. I watched One Born Every Minute and thought I was recording Millionaire. When I came to watch it I find that I have actually recorded One Born Every Minute and there's no sign of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Doh!  |

It could have been edited out,so he must have been happy with it.
This was a good revival ,and l shall be surprised it if does not come back.
And in the back of my mind,if ITV can have Jeremy Clarkson for this,perhaps they will do a deal to show The Grand Tour as well.

So he made a mistake. Big deal. We all do it. How many times have we been positive we had an answer right only to be wrong. I agree he did look foolish but he obviously agreed for this to be shown on tv. Cannot understand why people take such joy over things like this.
