Jeremy always seems to know the answer when he's not asked, after the fact, yet when he is asked he usually doesn't know.

Yes, I was astonished that she went for Ron Howard too.

I wouldn't have asked him about the Spice Girls I know they say it's random, but when the audience is split between 2 choices and the contestant asks for 50/50 cynical old me expects the same two to appear.... and very often it does - they wouldn't do it deliberately, or would they?? (I know nothing about calculating probability!)

Yes, I was astonished that she went for Ron Howard too. She did say that she had forgotten she could ask Jeremy, perhaps they need to make sure that contestants are reminded, as it is a new thing.

The blind woman with red hair has been on loads of quiz shows, I was thinking that "I bet she gets through", as she's on everything. But she didn't.

I thought I’d seen her before prof. Tonight is the first time I’ve watched this with JC and I was wondering whether he ever actually knows an answer.

The blind woman with red hair has been on loads of quiz shows, I was thinking that "I bet she gets through", as she's on everything. But she didn't. I recognised her too - she's been on a few things. She's certainly knowledgeable enough to have got on, but I do think, even though she had the fastest finger question in braille, that she was at a disadvantage in terms being the fastest.

No I think they set it up so that she wasn't at a disadvantage, she only had to push the buttons in order, Jeremy read the question out, none of the contestants saw the question he made that clear. We saw it on our screens but that not shown in the studio. So they all had the same chance. In fact as the other contestants would normally rely on the visuals to aid them you could say they were disadvantaged. Everyone had to rely on what they had heard Jeremy say.

I didn't like That, we're so used to seeing the question and then rearranging them into the correct order that I think it was a disadvantage, we're just not used to it, I need to see it in front of me, it became, in the words of Jim Bowen "A test of memory as well as skill", you had to try and remember the letter, the film and then rearrange it! But I suppose they were all in the same boat.

The lady who did not know what a theodolite was,how can a person who is educated to degree standard not know who uses one. I wish I had a quarter of a million pound to win on such a question. It seemed a very easy question for the amount of money. I have used a theodolite though.

I thought exactly the same, I don’t have a degree and I’ve never worked as a surveyor but I know what a theodolite is.

Tomorrow (Saturday) 9.10pm 1/11
New series, once again hosted by Jeremy Clarkson. I was never a fan of Mr. Clarkson, but I quite like him in this. Funny enough, I never liked Chris Tarrant doing it.

....the lady plumber wasted a life when the audience gave a clear choice in an earlier question....and she decided to go 50-50....she would have opted for for Dali I'm sure if it was a choice of two....
