It is, but Pick only show programmes that have already been shown on the Sky channels first. We are way behind on Pick, I think.

The average is around 22 per season, I think. Sometimes 24.

Didn't that take Hugh Laurie rather by surprise when he signed up for House?
By the way do Sherlock and Joan ever get together?

The upcoming Season 7 of the Jonny Lee Miller-Lucy Liu procedural, which wrapped production last Friday, will be the last. Deadline reports the decision was reached during last season after the Season 7 renewal. “A lot of parties came together and talked about their positions on the show — both in terms of business and in terms of creative — and we all decided that this was an opportune time to say goodbye to a show that has been very, very good to us,” says CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl. Executive producer Carl Beverly adds that creator Rob Doherty "set out to tell a story, and it feels like he has accomplished what he had set out to do. The actors, the crew and the cast feel that way, and we feel that. So are grateful and celebrating what we had and looking forward to the future.”

The decision to renew this for a 7th. season came as a surprise to the showrunner. The season 6 finale was supposed to be the last ever episode and was written as such - then suddenly it wasn't! I gather season 7 will start with a 1-year time jump from the end of the previous one.
