I liked his music a lot but knew nothing about him. Just reading that article I still don't! He seems so absolutely self-absorbed I expected the piece to end with his disappearing up his own orifice.

I dunno, he seems pretty clued up to me, neither burning out, nor fading away, but still making music, on his own terms.
Enough to make me thing that the 'Master Michael' stuff could be having fun with the interviewer, anyway.
When I told the wife, who also had a crush in the day, that Terence Trent D'Arby was still doing his thing, she said he must have a different name now, being a Muslim, which I don't think was even mentioned in the article. So much for surprising her...
