Did anyone watch it. The language was putting me off and I am not priggish but all these dramas about powerful people seem to have scriptwriters that litter the scene with foul and abusive language. Is it normal in these circumstances, has anyone been in one of these situations. I have been party to many business deals over here and on the periphery of more but I have never heard people talk like this in real life. Do they, has anyone got experience of top level US businessmen?!

Stick with it as it's a slow burn. I find the family to be dysfunctional, with all of them quite horrible. But when you start to see the father, played by Brian Cox, in action you start to see why. Matthew MacFadyens character seems very crawling, he'll do anything to try and keep in with the Family, but is a bit of a bully on the side, as most of them are. I don't know about the business meetings, the older in charge son (It takes me ages to remember character names!) Seems to want to act cool to the potential investors, looking forward to new media, maybe he thinks he has to swear to act cool so the investors are more confident he's into the future of the media business. I don't know...he can be a bit of a di*k though!...but like I said, I don't think the father helped.
I think you get more drawn into it as the episodes go on.
