Another offering from Joanne. Wonderful viewing, fascinating countries. She has such a brilliant way with her. Can talk to anybody (even though they don't understand her) Not to be missed.

Last night's was better than the first one, when everything was "Wow!" "Gosh". It's nice undemanding viewing. I have to laugh at how she nods and agrees when the people could be telling her anything.

I'm watching and enjoying it. I watch all her travel programmes.

I wouldn't miss this. Loved her comments this week. The "dear little silkworms!"
Drinking wine in a field.....
Watching silk being dyed...
She makes us feel as if we are there, too!

She has an enthusiasm for the people and places she goes to. Next week Iran, fingers crossed.

Another enthralling episode. I never imagined that the "stans" had such beautiful architecture. Sounds as if she will be filming in China next.

A really good final episode, with Joanna in great form.
Hopefully they'll get to film in China for a sequel, as it's a pity they weren't allowed to this time for some reason. And rather strange, since they were permitted into Iran (and Michael Palin with his crew were accepted in North Korea for the recent Channel 5 series). Must have been a big disappointment - imagine trying to make a programme about e.g. the Great North Road only to be stopped at the Scottish border. Or Route 66 but being denied access to LA.

What a wonderful series. I was totally surprised at how beautiful parts of these countries were. Anything that is presented by Joanna is gripping TV. I wonder where she is off to next.

Just caught up with this great series. Joanna is so watchable, and you can see that she really does enjoy her travels, and meeting the ordinary people she encounters.
Iran was beautiful, and it reminded me that years ago it was known as Persia - so much more glamorous sounding!
What a shame that they were denied access to China, it would have finished it all off nicely. Perhaps they'll get permission another time and we can have a great with another series.
