Today I came across a fairly interesting website for original science fiction/ fantasy/ horror writing and a YouTube channel linked to it.
The premise of the site is that there is a super secret government/military organisation (possibly international) called the SCP Foundation, with SCP being an acronym for Secure, Contain, Protect. They deal with all sorts of strange things, supernatural or alien artefacts, people or aliens with strange powers. The writing is all in the form of technical reports about the artefacts being held by the foundation and how they responded to experiments being done on them. The Foundation appears to be above the law and has a plentiful supply of 'class D' test subjects, mostly criminals that are regarded as readily expendable.
Several of the stories have been read on YouTube, which is where I first found them.It has the feel of a rather darker version of 'Warehouse Thirteen', with stories similar to the 'Lost Room' and the 'Monkeys Paw'.
