Ah! I thought this had been abandoned. Good to see there's another one. And that it's bingeable. I have gotten out of the habit of watching something weekly and usually forget it's on.

Great - I'd been looking out for the date, which they'd said would definitely be November.

Ut ut ut!! Finally get my Saxon fix. I was at a Bernard Cornwell book signing/interview at the Tyneside Cinema the other week and he said there will be 3 more Uhtred books and one more Sharpe to come. He also said to watch out for him in one of the episodes as he gets a short lived cameo! He was a very amenable person to go and see.

Yes, I read that! It seems to be the in thing for authors to make brief appearances, as with Diana Gabaldon in Outlander and Margaret Atwood in The Handmaid's Tale. I remember Alfred Hitchcock was generally to be seen fleetingly somewhere in his movies.

He did make it clear that it is a brief cameo. He was on a visit to the set and the producer asked him. It was a good evening for £8.

Colin Dexter appeared in the background of pretty much every episode of Morse, its first spin-off Lewis and the first three series of its second spin-off, Endeavour, at which point he decided his health wasn't good enough to continue. However, the tradition has continued by doing things like his photo appearing on a newspaper and similar.

Season 3: It’s goooood....it’s very good.
Three episodes in, loving it, more so Skade....old and new characters, lots of blood and plenty of skulduggery.

I see the dvd isn't out until the end of January. I might have to have a trial of netflix.

Watched the first 2 episodes so far, and I'm finding it just as good as ever. I think it has become a bit more gory - taking a leaf out of the 'Vikings' book? (season 5, part 2 of which starts next week on Amazon Prime).

Just finished....it was epic!
Sad, witty, bloody, revengeful....Destiny is All.
And so pleased I didn’t have to wait a week to watch each episode, that would have been hell - best season......so far.

It is very "bingeable" - I'd probably have watched it all by now if other demands hadn't kept interfering. As it is, I've watched the first 4 eps.
