I didn't know till recently - and then forgot - but ITV3+1 goes off the air between midnight and 9.00 pm.... Regardless of the fact that Poirot has just called everyone together and will shortly reveal the murderer  ... As happened last night at the end of Death in the Clouds, which should have finished, but was apparently about 5 minutes late... So now I'll have to read the book and the TV version is probably different. I am cross!! |

That caught me out as well! But don't worry, it's on the Hub and it's repeated in the week. And it's the same murderer as the book. For the same motive.

That caught me out the other week as well. I ended up with a one hour recording rather than a two hour film so luckily it was obvious at the time. I had to search for the daytime repeat which luckily I found.

I have a gripe about ITV3. Not the curfew on ITV3+1. It's Heartbeat.
Last Friday, we reached the end of the series - again. And again, Yesterday, ITV3 rewound back to the episode 'Sweet Sixteen'. They've done this at least twice already. So, we'll miss out on Nick Rowan and Claude Jeremiah Greengrass.
Haven't ITV got any imagination? The earlier series were in the 4:3 format. Are they scared of broadcasting something with black bars down either side of the screen?
Obviously it's not a major issue. It is annoying though.

Any number of reasons that this occurs,more often than not it is a rights issue. Just looked back and it started in 1992,so that is 25 years way before extra channels and i-player etc,so whatever was negotiated then may not to be still in date now.Why not ask the broadcaster? |
