Well, it might be about to revert to being the Alice show! What do we think – has she fallen off the wagon, or is she just having more midnight counselling sessions with Harry?

Well if she isn’t pregnant, as per my original hunch, then I reckon he is calling her late at night. And not because he needs to either (because I don’t believe he is actually trying to give up), but because he still thinks they (could) have a relationship.
I can’t stand the Alice show either! In fact I don’t have much time for any of them, 😂.

To some extent, I feel sorry for Alice though - she has a few struggles and acts distracted and moody, and it's assumed she's drinking again (and if she says, no she isn't, she could be lying. So she can't win.) Lilian and Kate should have stayed well away! Honestly, the pair of them are enough to drive anyone to drink

Yes, and I don't see what purpose her insistence they take her for a test the next day serves – of course she'll be sober then!

I was pleased when the doctor just told them all to get a grip! Sadly, she rather undid this when sucking up to Alice later but I did enjoy the lecture on wasting medical time.
And as for Lily, what a two-faced little cow she is! I hope Oliver catches her out, or Harrison dobs her in.

So did I Hmmm, Harry has attended his first (supposedly AA) meeting with Alice and is adamant he can go it alone from here on in, but... I don't trust the beggar!
I like Can-Do Chelsea's plan to attend two interviews just to be offered the jobs by both venues

He’s playing her like a piano imho.

And predictably he falls off the wagon yet again (is he a lost cause or what) just in time for Alice to phone to see how he was...and drop everything to rush round to him. For someone who said she wasn't up to being his sponsor, she's sure acting like one! So she put her foot down with him at the end of the episode, saying she couldn't help him any more. Yeah, we'll see ...

Shouldn’t he have arranged a sponsor through the AA group leader? Alice should never have agreed to help him to that extent because she has been too close to him. It must need a degree of separation surely? She said the right things and did her best but it has exhausted her.

No, she shouldn't, and she has no experience or qualification (don't know if one is required) to be a sponsor. I do think though that she put herself in that difficult position last night – she phoned Harry who was drunk and then insisted in going round and once again lied to her family about what she was doing, all of which points to her poor judgement.
We know however from her behaviour towards Brian that she thinks of herself as a healer, pourer of oil on troubled waters, etc. She isn't as bonkers as Kate but it's the same personality trait.
I also think that the actor playing Harry is more convincing when Harry is drunk!
On other matters, I must have missed something, but why is Lily poncing around at reception at GG? She's on work experience as part of her course, isn't she, not in charge! Where is Linda? Spending time with the newly reincarnated Robert?

Linda has retired from GG, I believe. I don’t much like NuRobert, something about his voice. And he ticked me off when he crashed Fallon and Harrison’s romantic date, although they should have told him to leave (politely of course).
Yes Lily has some sort of internship at GG. She is one character who just seems so wrong to me. She sounds like someone at a 1950s cocktail party doesn’t she? And yes she is lording it at GG, but never forget she is an ARCHER, and thus fully entitled to lord it over plebs like Brad. Poor Brad, he started off as an intelligent chap but is now almost always portrayed as the village idiot. And don’t get me started on Lily secretly trying to sabotage GG and get additional bookings for Lower Loxley. What an ungrateful and backstabbing little madam she is. Still the apple doesn’t fall…
And as for that hilarious business with the suitcases, dear God it was painful wasnt it?

Yes, I'd forgotten that Brad is a maths genius. Didn't he win a place at Oxford and chose Felpersham instead as he wanted to be closer to home? I've noticed over in Mustardland there is a lot of comment about 'scriptwrongers' which is a word that should be added to the OED! They are so right, the SWs don't know their stuff and it shows, with all these personality bypasses that afflict all the characters at one time or another.

I don’t think it was Oxford was it? I thought they went to a Russell Group university somewhere, perhaps Warwick? It was a family trip with Jazzer and Tracey, and she thought it was fantastic. I could understand he felt that too daunting and wanted to be local, but that doesn’t mean he has become a complete idiot does it!
Scriptwrongers is a good word! They have had a lot of those in EE with characters like Ben Mitchell changing from a gentle boy who liked musical theatre to a total thug and a potential human trafficker!

'Scriptwrongers'
Regarding Brad the Brains, I find his social awkwardness rather endearing...
The Denise-and-Alistair thing featured this evening, I was wondering where they'd got to! Hmmmm, not sure that burgeoning relationship will be at all straightforward, not just because Denise is married, but now Thingummijig from the opposing cricket team is trying to make a date with Alistair - let's see where that goes!

I was disappointed that Denise apparently didn’t spot Alistair being chatted up by the cricketer 😂. I’m a bit confused by what’s going on… weren’t they snogging in the supplies cupboard at one point?
