This starred the late, great Freddie Frinton. The sketch itself became famous throughout Europe, but especially Germany, apparently, although it has never been shown here in the UK until recently. Every New Year's Eve millions of Germans sit down to laugh at the antics. It's become traditional!
This was shown on Sky Arts at 18.10 today: very funny, and well done by the inimitable Freddie. He plays a butler, trying to serve dinner to a 90 year old lady.
