I know her books are not rocket science but I enjoy reading them, especially Poirot. On my recent trip to Devon I picked up a copy of ABC murders, mainly because murder 'C' takes place in Churston where we were staying. While there we also visited Greenway House which was her holiday home, lovely place.

I love AC too. She's my bedtime reading. I have everything she wrote, collected over many years.
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is a favourite although I also love Murder on the Orient Express.

I've read a lot of her books. One of my absolute faves is Endless Night (so much so, I bought the Hayley Mills DVD of it).

D'you know, I have only read that once cos it freaked me out. It's quite psychologically scary.

I hadn't really thought of it like that - I just liked the twist. I remember seeing a TV adaptation of it in the last few years, too. (Just checked on IMDB, and it was for the 'Miss Marple' series with Julia McKenzie. Not sure why they felt the need to add Miss Marple into the equation - the book didn't feature her.)
ETA: I might have to read it again soon, just to see if I get psychologically scared, lol!

It is the one with {Spoiler}the young guy who marries the rich young woman, builds his dream home and then kills her, isn't it?

Yes, it is.

I went through a stage where I binge read her books. I think the most disturbing one for me was a short story where the murderer is a little girl who poisons her victims at dolls' tea parties. I must have read it 30+ years ago and still recall it (though not the name or which anthology).

I don't remember that one..... don't tell me there's an anthology I haven't read!

I don't remember that one..... don't tell me there's an anthology I haven't read! Well, I thought it was an AC story, but now you're making me doubt myself. Wondering how to google it and find the title. Hmm.

The problem with AC anthologies is that the same story can be under 3 or 4 different titles. Sometimes she would take one of her own short stories and expand it into a novel so you think it's a new story, get a chapter or two in and think ' hold on a minute.......'
And if you buy them second-hand you can sometimes get one with the American name on it.
