Just started watching this and it is really good. It reminds me of Fargo (the TV series), so if you loved that you will love this. It has the same mix of humour, violence and weirdness that Fargo does.
It's based on a comic book of the same name written by Gerard Way
The first episode is a little slow in places but stick with it cos it has moments of sheer genius. The violence is from the Tarantino school so is gorgeous, stylish and bloody. The second episode, which is as far as I've got, is much tighter in the storytelling and sets a great pace.

Just finished watching this.....enjoyed it - a lot more clever, than your average superhero series and Mary J Blige was a big surprise.....she was good.
Didn’t remind me of Fargo.

It does get slow about halfway through but it gets better.

It reminded me a bit like Preacher. However, I have only seen five episodes so far.

Miranda - did you watch S2? I only binged the final two episodes this time, which would suggest I wasn’t as gripped as for the first series, but it was still an excellent watch. I won’t post spoilers, but I loved the climax and the set up for S3.
