It seems so, from Sidney's appeal to God to not be blamed for it - though we weren't shown his death, unlike that of pretty much all the other victims in this series.
I think that's quite possible. Pieter Bello made some comment to Georgia about him maybe being better off where he is. From the sound of him on the phone and from Sidney's attitude he didn't appear to be a captive. Why did Sidney's wife, heard in the background, gasp and drop something when he was telling Martin & Georgia where Will was?

I wasn't expecting that ending!

I’m afraid I’d already said to my husband that Judith wasn’t dead and that Will had another wife and baby. I’d already thought that he’d been smuggled across the border not kidnapped. It’s all pretty predictable.

Oh well done, Liz. I was surprised to see Judith but not to see another woman on the scene once we knew he was a free man, and given that he had already had an affaire with the general's wife. I take it this was a Rwandan woman he had met since the crash. So after all that charging about, Georgia hasn't exactly got much for her efforts! Perhaps now she can stop being a hermit though.

She said to him’ is this why you spent so much time out here?’ So I wonder if that had been going on longer than since the crash.

Me too. I've been fully expecting a new "wife" and child to turn up - not least because that also happened in Flight HS13.
Her name's Gloria, right? - we've seen her before, several times according to imdb because she was in the first three episodes (though I admit I had to refresh my memory by checking back in recordings). In this episode, she was the woman who sealed Will in the crate to be smuggled into Rwanda. In episode 2, she was also in charge of the crates containing (I assume) the smuggled coltan and we saw her bribing someone - a customs worker? - to not look inside the crate.
What's the betting Georgia will end up adopting Adidja?

Well, that was all very odd I thought. And when you think back to the Hugo Blick series about Rwanda and the DRC, decidedly underwhelming. They could have made a really good series and in places it showed promise, like the opening shots of the mine, the child soldiers and some of the music. But the rest of it was poor I felt. Kate Beckinsale didn't help matters for me, she seemed to have no real dramatic attack and was fairly expressionless. Although the bouncy ponytail was quite hypnotising! Maybe I drifted off!
And what on Earth was the point of the Nigel sequences? Or the Beatrix sequences come to that? I know in some dramas they could have been interesting and added background (although given the time leaping, it was foreground for Nigel I think) but the series was too flabby at eight episodes so we could have lost a lot and had a snappier six parter.
BTW, who was Martin to Georgia? He wasn't her father was he? Stepfather perhaps?
I was surprised when she appeared to leave Adija as I expected the adoption too. But then I realised we still had a while to go so she could/would change her mind!

I watched it to find out how it ended but I’m glad it’s finished. The constant time shifting was confusing and irritating. What exactly was the point of Nigel and the walking on the hills? How she commands money for Hollywood blockbusters I do t know, by the end that b£@@&y ponytail was annoying the heck out of me.

‘Fraid I just read the recaps and this thread to find out what was happening. I gave up after episode 2. I have no great wish to search it out on the STV hub.

Seeing Porthos was the best bit! A disappointing series overall.
