Shouldn’t this have been on at about 5 in the afternoon? Surely it was aimed at children ☹️

Yeah, it's childish but I enjoyed it. I found it fun - like Yonderland (Sky, a few years back, from the same team) which I also enjoyed.

I loved it! Very funny. And lots of little jokes that you have to pay attention to.

I thought this was great. I'm not sure I'd have scheduled it at that time, before SCD on a Saturday would be quite good, it can appeal to both children and adults, quite a few adults watched Horrible Histories because it worked for on both levels, so this could too. But I'll be watching next week, hopefully the first episode isn't a fluke.

Good start! Yes, it is family friendly (apart from the plague girl and her ring a ring of roses! ) but the characters were quickly established and it is a nice twist that the wife can now see the other residents (LOVED the crowd in the cellar) whereas her husband cannot. Liked the screamer and the poet....and I suppose we shall learn why the most modern one died trouser-less…..

I really enjoyed this too - made me laugh. Agree about the plague girl - shiver!

I quite enjoyed it. I liked Plague Girl! I thought it improved once the couple had arrived. So unlike some recent comedies (Warren!) I shall be watching next week.

The Horrible Histories ensemble can do little wrong in my view. This was nicely quirky. It's not easy to see why it's got such a late slot from the content of ep 1 and why they chose not to aim it at a family audience, but maybe more adult themes are involved in the progressing story. Like why is Simon Farnaby trouserless !?

And I'm not sure the references to orgies and murder are that family friendly!

Thanks Miranda.
I meant Family Friendly in so far as the ghosts are not scary. But yes, the screaming lady caught her husband 'between staff' so that was unfortunate. Who shot the Scout leader, I wonder?
I did like them ready to welcome the latest recruit to their band, only for the elderly owner to blink away in a flash of light.
"Lucky cow".

Daft as a brush but very enjoyable. A bit of light relief with all the misery that is going on today. Couldn't stop laughing at the screeching woman falling out of the window...even after they had fixed the clock.

*Cautiously* I liked it. It felt a little old fashioned in an affectionate way and there were a lot of things that made me smile.

I enjoyed it too, made me smile, and I’m not normally a ghost story person. Will keep on watching this.

I'm guessing an accident during an archery lesson with his scout group...
