This is available on Netflix and a second series has been announced. Jen (Christine Applegate), a recently widowed real estate agent, has some anger issues. Her husband died abruptly three months prior in a hit-and-run, and without someone to blame for this crime, Jen listens to heavy metal in her car and takes her short-temper out on those around her. She is searching for catharsis, an outlet to express her grief, or at the very least, someone she can commiserate with. She finds herself at Friends of Heaven, a support group for those who are mourning, and meets Judy (Cardellini), a beguiling woman who is grieving the loss of her fiancé.It's funnier than it sounds, it's a comedy drama, each episode is 30mins and there's lots of twists and turns. I've still got 2eps left to watch but... Judy, who Jen meets at a support group, is actually the person who was driving the car than hit Jen's husband. Another episode reveals that Jen's husband was having an affair and another that Judy's husband, Steve Wood (James Marsden) was a passenger in the vehicle when the accident occurred. I've read that Steve is murdered by Jen in the last episode, so I'm guessing no more Marsden.

I’d say more drama than comedy....l was hooked from the start and a brilliant final two episodes, edge of the seat stuff, in a strange way.

I did think about watching this but wasn't sure. I might give it a go then. Sometimes the trailers on Netflix are misleading.

This was created and written by the cousin of a friend of mine from college - how’s that for a tenuous link!
