I suggested that Hamilton was a sure thing for SPOTY and none of my family agree, one was vehement about it. Hates him for his stance on racial equality, and I do mean he was spitting mad about it. He even seemed furious about Hamilton's choice of clothing!!!! What can you say to people like that. How does black people being treated equally and having equality of opportunity take your equality away from you - anyway one less Christmas card for me to send. I will be voting for Hamilton now, I will vote as many times as they allow.

Go Lewis!
Take the penalty and move on.
Verstappen has been driving the way he's now complaining about since he started and this comment from him was a joke, confused and insulting at best. He wasn't in any danger, was sent to hospital for x-rays and a CT scan hours after the crash and probably as part of an insurance liability as a precaution.
“Watching the celebrations while still in hospital is disrespectful and unsportsmanlike behaviour but we move on.”
Nobody would have been celebrating if he'd been seriously injured and he full well knows that. He's never shown sympathy for anyone he's shunted in the past.

Robbed.
How can the Race Director change the rules at the last minute after a phone call from Horner. That's like making a free kick a penalty!!

They are thinking of taking it higher, to the Court for Arbitration in Sport. But, I have lost all respect for FIA.

I'm sure they will, you can't have someone changing the rules just like that. There should be clear and precise instructions so everyone knows what's going on. Some of the lapped drivers had no clue what they were supposed to do, never mind the leaders.
Besides Verstappen pulled illegal zig zag moves once he got past Hamilton. In a normal race he'd have been penalised for that.

Mercedes have said that they will not appeal against the results of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. This follows a decision by the FIA to conduct a "detailed analysis" of the end of the race and an admission it was "tarnishing" Formula 1's image.

One new thing that they have said is that they are not sure if Hamilton will be back next year.
