Well done Lewis Hamilton - 6 times winner of the British Grand Prix. Brilliant. ...he now holds the record for BGP wins......ahead of Jim Clark and Jackie Stewart...

You wouldn't think it if you see the media reporting … I love my cricket and think it great England won, but fair's fair! Hamilton is a British winner too. Such a shame he doesn't get the credit he deserves.

Such a shame he doesn't get the credit he deserves. Yep. Clashing with the Cricket and Wimbledon(who schedules these events anyway?) didn't help. Apart from that its true he attracts some antipathy. Why I don't know.

Neither do I. He's a good enough chap, always happy to do interviews, takes his sport seriously, stays out of trouble and wins. Some apparently don't like him because he wears flash jewellery and grime style clothes and he does say he gets a lot of racist abuse. He doesn't go on about it, he just says he gets it, which is awful. Me, I couldn't care less what he wears and whether he has diamonds in his ears. He's a winner and with Verstappen and Le Clerk coming up this game might just get exciting.

Mad Max is always good to watch. Always something happening when he's driving. Not always good as in yesterdays race.

Not interested in Wimbledon. Cricket's OK, but I never miss the F1 Grand Prix.
That was a brilliant race - lots of actual racing, and it was good to see Vettel take responsibility for taking out Verstappen and accepting the resulting penalties with good grace. Will Ferrari now make Leclerc their lead driver since Vettel seems to have lost his love for the spprt?
Lewis has achieved so much, but we have a hopeful successor to him in Lando Norris when the time comes for him to retire.

It's so good now isn't it and I think it will get better with all these young new faces.
I'm not a great tennis fan either so it was the Grand Prix and cricket for me.

Fantastic Hamilton. Fantastic team. Fantastic strategy and when it all comes together the sheer audacity and speed knocks your socks off. 25 laps of full throttle catch up!! Fantastic!

I only listen to it on the radio now - an exercise in using my imagination! Missed the beginning as I was travelling back from dad's but the rest sounded quite exciting - so many laps to go and so many seconds to catch up. I am a Ferrari fan so the usual disappointment for me.

Brilliant race from Lewis again. ...and a call from the pits to change tyres at a critical time in the race was inspired....though Lewis wasn't convinced at first.....

I think Mad Max is going to provide some thrilling racing for the rest of the season now he's got a competitive car.
