Starts on Blaze on Sunday, at 10pm.(Though is still showing on the History channel on Tuesdays at midnight.)
Set in the time of the Templar Crusades, a group of knights are sent out to find the Holy Grail. Stars; Tom Cullen, Simon Merrells, Julian Ovenden, Ed Stoppard and Jim Carter(Downton Abbey), Just to name a few. Saw the trailer, will give it a go.

It troubles me that it rehashes stories about the Holy Grail. From what I have read about it, it reads more as fantasy than as historical.
This does not mean that it is bad, it just shifts expectation.

Ah, I was kind of expecting it to be mostly fantasy, TBH.

Blaze is showing series 1, History's showing series 2. I haven't started on S2 yet but found S1 - which came in for some stick when first aired - quite watchable. Jim Carter plays the Pope! - bit of a change from Downton.

Oops, I just posted about this in the Subscription channel Knightfall thread as I wasn't sure who owned Blaze! Sorry for the duplication.

No worries. Blaze is FTA which is why I haven't merged the posts.

Wasn't too bad. Quite enjoyed it, will continue to watch, though all the knights looked alike with their beards. First episodes are often shaky, with characters becoming established..

Well it's pretty violent, isn't it?! And Landry and Little Landry were visiting the Queen... risky! I thought it was a bit of a curate's egg. Watchable, but poor dialogue and not much establishing story. But you just have to take it for what it is. And the big revelation that the grail is in France, well that really narrows down the search. Just one enormous country to dig up! However, it seems to be quite popular so I shall continue, and I do like Ed Stoppard so...

Just catching up on last week, and I have decided to abandon ship. I think it is quite poorly written and acted, and actually a bit boring.
