All about the lockdown last night. The effect it was having on the Warders. Two of them made an outdoor gym, which was a good idea. They also had to do the cleaning, since the regular cleaners couldn't visit of course. The ravens were disappointed because all the refuse bins were empty. A rather eerie episode, they were not used to seeing the place empty.

I'm still laughing at the response of one of the warders to the deliverymen who had got lost on the way... 'The marauding peasants of 1381 found the Tower, and they didn't have a sat nav!' It must have been very strange during the months of closure. The pride of those working in the Tower comes over very strongly A pet Belgian hare??

TBF, the Tower was most likely the highest thing on the horizon in 1381!

New series started last night. I like this show, as i love history, and the Yeomen (and Women) Warders are an interesting bunch. Melina the raven flew off, and never came back, however, four new raven chicks hatched. The Tower even has it's own pub, though once there were three on site. Once again Jason Watkins narrates.
