Just found this!
For some reason, Netflix are only showing the first episodes of each series. It's quite good so I can see why it was a big hit.
I'm now on series 5. One of the contestants looks like a serial killer.

I didn’t know it was on Netflix. Alex Trebek is one of my favourite presenters ever.

They have only just added it, I think. I haven't seen it before. I saw a whole decade of fashion pass before my eyes last night.

He's had a fair amount happen to him! S31 (which I'm now watching) he's grown a tache. S30 he had a heart problem. S29 something horrible happened to him in San Fran.

He's brave, chasing someone in a place full of guns.

Love Jeopardy and the questions are so much harder than other TV quiz shows.
But after all these years I wish they would drop the requirement that contestants have to give their answer in the form of a question. I mean I realize the statement that pops up on the Jeopardy board IS actually the answer and they have to give the question but its kinda silly.
And I have seen many times where Alex Trebec will scold contestants for "phrasing" if they forgot to answer in the form of a question. I don't know if they have ever taken points away.
They sure can win a lot of $$$

It was quite odd watching the first episode of every series. I think it was 31 series? I binged it over a few days and saw Alex Trebec get old before my eyes.

And that is just with Alex. The show itself began in the mid 1960s. I think Alex said on one of the recent anniversary episodes that in all the series has had over 8000 episodes. It runs 5 days a week here. Every day at 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Some repeats in the summer and around holidays and the like but otherwise pretty much year round.
The have special episode weeks with children and colleges pairing off against each other (I think they knicked that from your University Challenge LOL)

You might enjoy this. A skit from Saturday Night Live lampooning a celebrity episode of Jeopardy and how incredibly daft celebrities can be.
Will Ferrell as a very frustrated Alex

I didn't realise it started in the 60s. Who was the original presenter?
I've seen one of the ones with the kids. The one who won it was really funny. The very last answer was 'This general said "The eyes of the world are upon you" in 1944'. The other contestants were quite far behind but might catch him if he got the answer wrong and bet lots of money. They both put 'Who is Dwight Eisenhower?' and bet lots. So they were on absolute tenterhooks. He put 'Who is some guy in Normandy? I just won $75,000!' And he had cos he didn't bet anything! The whole place fell about laughing.
